The wash-proof effectiveness of Sanitized® helps in the fight against antibiotic-resistant germs – now also for PUR coatings

Germs are a constant and growing threat in hospitals, nursing homes and doctors' practices. In particular, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, such as MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), VRE (Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus), and β-Lactam-resistant strains threaten the health of patients. For people with weakened immune systems, they can cause life-threatening diseases, which can no longer be fought with standard medication.

The new Sanitized® TPL 27-42 for PUR coatings can effectively prevent the spread of harmful microorganisms in mattress covers, furniture upholstery, artificial leather surfaces, etc. without endangering people or the environment.

Sanitized® TPL 27-42 fights against the unwanted colonization of antibiotic-resistant germs, fungi, and household dust mites. Therefore, this Sanitized® finish provides effective hygiene and material protection especially for allergy sufferers. It now also has OEKO-TEX Standard 100 classes I – IV certification and thus has demonstrated that it is particularly compatible for people and the environment. Because this product can be worked directly into PUR coatings during production, the protective function is lasting and wash-resistant, which makes it suitable for items that have to be washed regularly. The effectiveness of this Sanitized® hygiene function provides optimum additional support for existing cleaning measures.
