Quaternary compounds. Sanitized® T 99-19
This innovative, patented active ingredient is based on a highly effective quaternary ammonium compound modified with silane. Its unique feature is the special combining mechanism, which anchors the active substance permanently in the treated substrate.
On the substrate the active ingredient develops its protective action and riddles the cell wall of the undesired microorganisms with holes, like a needle. Based on this "mechanical" mode of treatment, the active substance is not used up and remains effective on the substrate.
Sanitized® T 99-19 has three reaction possibilities:
- permanent covalent bond with the fiber
- ion pair bonding with the fibre
- cross-bonding with itself
The result: safety, effectiveness and high economy as well as good compatibility with other textile chemicals.
- The product is distinguished by its outstanding effect against bacteria as well as properties such as thermostability, wash fastness and pH stability.
- The active ingredient is dermatologically tested and meets the requirements according to Eco-Tex Standard 100, Class I-IV.
