Zinc pyrithion
For over 30 years, zinc pyrithion has been considered a safe active substance, even in contact with humans. SANITIZED AG has adapted this technology for different applications. There are products for textile aftertreatments and for uses in plastics such as PU foams and PU coatings, plasticized PVC applications (awnings and canvas, swimming pool covers, coatings and footwear) and in granulated form for admixture in various thermoplastic polymers and in plastic articles.
Advantages of the environmentally friendly zinc pyrithion technology:

- The active ingredient is dermatologically tested and meets the requirements of the European Commission and the US FDA for consmetic components.

- Sanitized® products with zinc pyrithion as the active chemical substance are approved for articles which meet the Eco-Tex Standard 100, Class IV.
