The French specialist for technical fibers AIN Fibres is launching the new fiber: Dynalen®. The light, soft and temperature-regulating properties of the fiber were specially developed for use in sportswear and underwear. This fiber’s special feature is the integrated Sanitized® hygiene function. To achieve this, the substrates of the fiber are treated. This saves knitters the extra effort of having to add an additional antimicrobial treatment process into their production sequence, which in turns reduces the cost of manufacture, not to mention energy costs, making a great contribution to sustainability!
The experts in the antimicrobial treatment of textiles, SANITIZED AG, were already involved during the initial design phase of the new fiber, Dynalen®, as a development partner.
“Our goal was to develop a new antimicrobial fiber. Sanitized® was integrated directly into the substrate of the fiber during the extrusion process. The experts at SANITIZED completely satisfied all of our requirements,” states Mr Al Alwa, CEO of AIN Fibres.
The project was funded by both the textile competence cluster Techtera from the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, and by the cluster Plastipolis. Plastipolis awarded AIN Fibres in June 2017 with the label of innovative company of the cluster (EIP label). This rewards AIN Fibres for their competences on material formulation, processing and optimization for the textile industry.
