Even in the 1930’s, Adolf J. Lüthi, the Swiss shoe retailer, realized that products with unique features were easier to market. That was the reason why he travelled to the US. Looking for innovations for his products, he met with success: he discovered the treatment of shoes against odors.

Enthusiastic about the great benefits, he developed the business idea of using this technology in the shoes he was marketing. Our company and the Sanitized® Quality Seal grew from this American-Swiss cooperation.

Over 80 years later, the manufacturers of textiles and polymers in more than 100 countries are using the Swiss Sanitized® technologies for the antimicrobial treatment of their products as well as the comprehensive services for technical advice, marketing support and regulatory issues.

Today, the founding families are still the owners of the company, whose pioneering spirit continues to thrive.
