Why Odor Control is Essential for Towels

Naturally, towels provide the perfect gathering place for odor-causing bacteria. Used typically in bathrooms that are warm and moist, these conditions provide a perfect environment for odor-causing bacteria to grow – even in unused towels. The reuse of towels by consumers makes prevention against odor-causing bacteria in the towel vital. Although recent studies suggest consumers are taking more precautions to protect themselves and their families, home textile products (including towels) are not always laundered after each use. Even after laundering, odor-causing microbes can remain on the surface of the fabric. This buildup of bacteria is what can generate the unpleasant odors commonly found in towels.
