With the award ceremony for Swiss ÖKOPROFIT ® companies in 2023 on November 16 at Kulturpark Zürich, SANITIZED AG achieves a milestone that has been pursued over the past 12 months. During this time, significant progress has been made: an environmental team was established, the company was examined for potential improvements in environmental management, measures were evaluated, the implementation was initiated, and some aspects have already been completed. In addition, participation in the ÖKOPROFIT project brought about a change in awareness regarding environmental protection and introduced new perspectives to the company.
What is ÖKOPROFIT? ÖKOPROFIT (Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology) isan internationally successful introductory program for simple environmental management and resource efficiency in businesses. In a one-year basic program, participating companies learn where and how they can plan and implement sustainable environmental measures. This allows the participants to contribute positively to the environment while saving costs. After successfully completing the basic program, the company possesses a simple environmental management system and receives an ÖKOPROFIT certificate. SANITIZED AG was in excellent company at this event, as a total of 19 companies from various industries were honored by Zurich government councillor Martin Neukom. SANITIZED AG congratulates everyone on achieving ÖKOPROFIT certification.
The certificate award ceremony took place in a stylish setting at Kulturpark Zürich. The program was opened with a presentation by Markus Vögeli, the CEO of Druckerei Vögeli AG from Langnau i.E., who gave an insight view on the printing company’s journey to sustainability. In the subsequent panel discussion, moderated by Rémy Kuhn, the program manager of ÖKOPROFIT, and representatives of ÖKOPROFIT companies, valuable experiences and perspectives of the participants were shared.
By participating in ÖKOPROFIT, SANITIZED AG commits to establish and operate an effective environmental management system. SANITIZED AG intends to continue this path by aiming for ISO 14001 certification in 2024.
As part of the company’s sustainability strategy, this environmental management system includes programs that fall into the focus areas of People (Social), Product (Environmental impact of products), and Planet (Energy consumption and emissions). The basis for these programs is the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
